Sim Links
These are some of my favourite places to go when not playing the sims. I've not included a comprehensive list of every sim link out there as that would take forever. These are my personal bookmarks, if you will, but I'm happy to share them, as well as add to them if needs be.
More are coming, but here's a few links to start things off:
The Sims3.com website
Mypage at the Sims3.com website
My studio at the Sims3.com website
Gift Gathering Forum - where I'm usually found - a place where you can truly see the best of human nature. Plus there's always a welath of great contests to enter too!
Creative Corner - a great place to find some stunning builds and sims, as well as a wealth of tutorials to help you make your creations even better.
Magazines
SIMplified Living - I may be biased, as I write for this magazine, but it's a great combination of builds, sims, fashion and more! All CC Free.
Simultitude - a magazine full of exciting features, building advice, CC Finder and much more. Look out for their upcoming Seasons special editions too.
SF Magazine - This one's been around for a while and it's always a great read. The rich content is mirrored by a great layout.
Blogs/websites
Sims VIP - possibly THE place to go for for sim related news, pics and updates
Reticulating Simply - A wordpress site, updated regularly with reviews, recipies etc
The simalogue - An incredible resource that contains a directory (in progress, but mostly all there) of every Sims 3 piece of content, whether from an EP, SP or the store.
Crinrict's Sims 3 Blog - the place to go to if you've a problem with bad CC, if you need a tutorial for using tools such as Custard, or some general techie help.
My Sims3 Blog - Aimed more at the CC players, this is a very regularly updated site, which links to new Pose Player packs, new CC resources and has a lot of links to tutorials for those wishing to dabble in CC themselves.
Legacies and Stories
Coming soon - in the meantime check out the Stories and Legacies section of the Sims3.com website
My favourite pattern creators
Coming soon - I use a lot of patterns in my game, and while I create a few myself, I am indebted to those who create gorgeous patterns and share them with us.
Mods, Tools and CC
I don't really dabble in CC (I have a few - count them on one hand - hairs, and some safe rainbow skins but that's it) but I do use mods.
NRaas Industries - also known as Twallan - most of the most talked about mods are here - Story Progression, Master Controller, Overwatch, Errortrap and many more. Twallan is very good at updating the mods after every game update, and for bug fixing (even bug fixing some of EA's bugs!)
ModtheSims - As well as the above mentioned Custard, MTS is a good place to go for user creations, new CC objects and links to CC hairs, skins and make-up etc.
PosePlayer - not a "mod" as such, but this tool adds an item to your game which allows you to place your sims in various poses. Great for storytelling and model making. Lots of Pose Packs are available online.
Custard - if you use CC at all, or if you ever download anything to your game (even stuff that claims to be CC Free) then you need to have Custard and know how to use it. The tool can be found on the Mod the Sims website, and a good tutorial can be found on Crinrict's Help Blog.
